November 27, 20169 yr I'm moving my unraid rig into a rackmount case (Rosewill 4412) since I am moving all my gear into our unfinished basement. I am currently using a mini-ATX ASRock board but I'd like to move up to a larger board so there better working room and better cooling. I seem to hear nothing but praise for the SuperMicro boards but their site is so bad, I'm having a hard time decoding what I'd need. This is their LGA 1150 section. My requirements: - support at least 8 sata drives - IPMI - LGA 1150 (for an Intel Xeon 1231 V3) - MicroATX, ATX or eATX - supports at least 16GB of RAM, preferably up to 32GB or more - gigabit LAN - I'm not using VMs now but if it had VT-d support seems like it's better to have it now - < $500 I think I've found one that may work but not sure. It seems to have a ton of sata connectors so I wouldn't need an expansion card: SUPERMICRO MBD-X10SL7-F-O Micro ATX Server Motherboard LGA 1150 Intel C222 DDR3 1600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-182-821 Suggestions?
