(WIN10 VM) make use of GPU without monitor? "Emulate Monitor"?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I just installed a Win10 VM on my Server for playing Civilization remotely (via Steam in Home Streaming).

Everything went smooth with the new UnRaid 6.2 installation it was a breeze, including the former complicated GPU passthrough.

However, one Issue: My computer does not seem to use my GPU (Radeon HD5770). In Catalyst Control Center, it shows as disabled.

I think it is because I don't have a monitor physically connected to my GPU.

I know there is "Dummy Plugs" to put into your GPU to make it work. My question: Is there a software solution?

Because im currently about 2500miles away from my server, so I wont physically plug anything in my server anytime soon.

Any suggestions?

Thank you very much in advance!
