I am South African [and damn proudly so..] my old friend an APC RS1500 has stopped working and i need to replace it and I have NO budget. I am really open to any South African recommendations for a decent [cheapish] line interactive as the power is totally crap in South Africa. reason why such a big UPS gotta a 700W corei7 gen 2 970gtx gaming machine connected to it as well. i have spent years scavenging these components and want a decent UPS to protect it all. bubbl3 Posted December 1, 2016 Share Posted December 1, 2016 unRAID uses the APCUPSD to communicate with the UPS, originally was only for APC UPSs but other vendors started to use the protocol, for example I use a CyperPower UPS with unRAID, you would need to do some research to see if the UPS is compatible with APCUPSD.
