Sound Problem in second VM

Hi everyone,

 

I have a Windows 10 VM with a GTX970 already working without any problems.

 

Now I want to set up a second Windows 10 VM with a GTX1050ti and my problem occurs.

 

In second VM the sound crackles / stutters (for the German guys: der Ton knistert).

 

I have tested:

  • different virtio drivers
  • different headsets
  • the MSI Fix
  • new installation of Windows
  • different BIOS (with new install of Windows)

Even when I setup a second vm with the same hardware as in the first vm (with the gtx970, mouse, keyboard, headset) the sound problem occurs.

 

Only when I use HDMI (e.g. TV or AV Receiver) the sound is ok.

 

My hardware:

  • Intel I7 6700K
  • Asus Z170-A
  • 32GB DDR4 (12GB each VM)
  • 240GB Kingston SSD each
  • Both headsets are USB (Sennheiser and Logitech)
  • 750W Power Supply

 

Did anybody have an issue like that and can help?

    So you are having problems with the sound going through the USB headset yes?

     

    You could try passing through a USB controller and connect the headset that way.
