December 8, 20169 yr Hi, What did I do wrong? I had been testing cache drives and one dropped off-line and it would not come back, even after rebooting. I removed both cache drives, rebooted, started array without cache to make sure I could still write to the array. I tried to add 2 cache drives back and I have not been successful. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you tower6-diagnostics-20161207-1921.zip
December 10, 20169 yr Author Hello again, Any assistance or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
December 10, 20169 yr Community Expert No filesystem was detected on the current cache disk, was that part of a previous pool?
December 10, 20169 yr Author Yes, it was. Since one of the cache drives had dropped, I ran pre-clear again on both drives to see if there were any issues. Did I miss a step?
December 10, 20169 yr Community Expert If the disk was precleared (all data was erased) you just need to format it, there will be a format button after starting the array.
December 10, 20169 yr Author I should have known better. I did not scroll down far enough to see it in the Array Operation area. Thank you!
