Cheapest Microatx intel mobo for unraid?

Featured Replies

What is the absolute cheapest motherboard that can run unraid?

-Integrated graphics is not necessary but would be nice to have.

-I already have a brand new Celeron E1400 so I would like to stick with an intel mobo.

--Preferably at least 6 sata ports, but I have no problems purchasing addon cards.

There is the Hardware Compatibility Page that you can search through.  Other than that your best bet is to head over to newegg and do you own search.  The people here have a very limited view of al the hardware out there and may not be able to give you an exact board.

You don't need an Intel motherboard either to use the processor.  it seems a lot of people are starting to use Gigabyte boards.  There is the HPA issue you have to watch out for.

6 orts will mean you will be after a board using the ICH9/R (usually cmonbined with P/G/35/45) or ICH10/R (P/H55) which will limit you to any expensive Intel brand board :)
