Yeah, even if the underlying Booksonic code isn't updated. the container still receives updates. If/when he releases another project to replace Booksonic in it's current guise then we'll obviously reassess things, but from your point of view at the moment, nothing has changed. It's not really as though booksonic has seen much dev over the last few years anyway. Quote Link to comment

Try a force update as it's definitely working here. If that doesn't do it, then provide your docker run command and container logs. Edited January 7, 2020 by CHBMB Quote Link to comment

jagame
I'm having issues getting podcasts working. The audiobooks work great but I was hoping to also use it to download and stream some podcasts. Is there something special that has to be done to get that working? Examples of podcasts I have added but aren't working: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheHistoryOfRome https://revolutionspodcast.libsyn.com/rss http://podcasts.joerogan.net/feed Edited February 28, 2020 by jagame Added examples Quote Link to comment

Honestly, there are better options for Podcasts out there. Plex and Spotify are my preferred. Quote Link to comment
CHBMB
Airsonic is better for podcasts, but for audiobooks there isn't really an alternative. The upstream project has pretty much ceased dev as well if you check out their webpage, with dev shifted to a bridge/shim type approach but nowhere near ready yet. Quote Link to comment
jagame
Thanks for the feedback guys/gals/others (pick your identifier of choice). I'm an Emby troll for the moment and really don't care to run Plex for just podcasts. I just installed the AirSonic app/container and it seems to be working. Thanks! Possibly not related, but poking around to see if anyone had detail on error cause/fix for latest, I see that the version tag for the :latest version looks unusual: image null-ls76 When diving in to the tag line 22 from the image history reads |4 BOOKSONIC_RELEASE=null BUILD_DATE=2020-08-06T..... Mentioning in case it provides a clue - possibly with the underlying build/package process that grabs the booksonic app itself. As always, thanks for the awesome work LSIO team. stor44
Same problem as Del, I get a 404 error when I run the Docker. I’ve worked around it as per Moppen’s post, thanks for that. Quote Link to comment
Moppen
Due that no one "official" has replied here in the Forum to this issue, I tried to reach someone from linuxserver.io on discord but I am new to discord and don't know how to do there anything ... so I tried to reach out via Github und filed an Issue. But instead of looking into this pretty obvious Issue, someone marked my "report" as invalid. So, I think we'll have to wait until the container-maintainer himself wishes to listen to an audiobook 😊 1 Quote Link to comment

You can close the one you raised as a duplicate I think. Kind regards, Del 1 Quote Link to comment
j0nnymoe
Looks like there are some changes upstream so we will need to make some adjustments on our container. For now, please rollback to a previous tag. Quote Link to comment

j0nnymoe
Fixed image has now been pushed to the repo. It had broken due to the booksonic dev renaming the repo. Looks like they're rebasing booksonic on airsonic currently so we will switch to that once it is released. 3 Quote Link to comment

BobbyDing
Hi folks. I've been using unraid/booksonic for several months now for listening to local mp3's with unraid and unfortunately I only know enough about unraid to get things running (not software oriented). From the info you folks have provided above I have backed down to the "linuxserver/booksonic:1.2-ls75" version and that works locally. But the Android app will no longer connect. Under the Android server settings testing connection fails (it was working). I've tried putting in the "http://LOCAL_UNRAID_IP:4040" and it also fails. If I select from within the Android server settings "Open in Browser" it gets the 404 error, but I can add "/booksonic" and it opens the login page. Is there any way to get the Android app working again? Or should I be searching for other options at this point? Thanks!! Bobby Quote Link to comment

Bobby Hi, Booksonic dev here, If it works in your browser when you add /booksonic you need to do so in the app as well. Try doing that and it should fix it. Quote Link to comment

Worked like a charm. The only thing I would add is that if you already have a Booksonic container and are planning on keeping it alongside Booksonic-Air, make sure you define a new config file, perhaps booksonic-air. 1 Quote Link to comment
