TUMS
You will need to add an HBA in order to get more ports. And Flash it to IT mode. Here's on example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-ServeRaid-M1015-46M0861-SAS-SATA-PCI-e-RAID-Controller-LSI-SAS9220-8i-/181842534823?hash=item2a56a8e1a7:g:JZ4AAOSwfZ1WZR4a Dell H310 is also popular and possibly slightly cheaper if you look around on ebay.... TUMS
sorry but how many hard drive can i connect to this cards, and is that the only way to do it? 8 drives. If you need more than 8 you will need multiple cards or you could just go with a HBA + expander. Quote Link to comment

I think most here though are choosing LSI based controllers these days with unraid. Flashing to IT mode is easy though really nothing to worry about. Quote Link to comment

TUMS
Sorry man one more question, how do the hard drive get power? From the card or do i have conect each one to the power supply Thanks The Norco chassis has 6 backplanes with 6 molex connections to your power supply. I would only run 2 backplanes per lead so you don't overload anything. Quote Link to comment
