bgeorge104
My windows 10 vm runs fine but is running out of space. I've tried to increase the size by gong to the vm tab, clicking on the vm name, then to the right of the vdisk I can click on the existing capacity of 40GB, I can change the number but when I press enter the value doesn't change! What am I doing wrong? I'm running version 6.2.4 of unraid Thanks Bernard Quote Link to comment
masstic1es
I just increased mine in the manor you described. I shut off the vm, typed in the new storage size, clicked outside the box, then refreshed the page. Showed the updated size. Quote Link to comment
SpaceInvaderOne
Remember after changing size of the vdisk you will have to goto disk management and expand the disk in windows to take advantage of the new space. Quote Link to comment
bgeorge104
Tried again, this time I "forced stop" & it worked! Into disk management & resized the disk, all done! Thank you all very much! 1 Quote Link to comment
truetype
This doesn't work for me, is there a command that I can run to update the size? EDIT: I found the command from SpaceInvaderOne's YT video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJBrEoq8mHo The command for me was "qemu-img resize vdisk1.img 35G" EDIT2: Though this made me get the BOOTMGR is missing error so I had to reinstall the VM afterwards..
