Downgrade from 6.2.4 to 6.1.x

What is the best way to downgrade from 6.2.4 to 6.1.x?

At the moment my server inaccessible by my mediaplayer and I need to troubleshoot.

Or is there another way to get things working again?

If you upgraded from 6.1 directly to 6.2.4 then copy the files from the previous folder on the flash drive to the root of the flash and reboot the server.  You may however also have to recreate your docker.img file (and re-add the apps via CA's previous apps section).

Did you get this to work? I am trying to down date from 6.2.4 to 6.2 as my VMs no longer work on the 6.2.4 version with a CPUID error. Anyway I followed what Squid said, but doing this my unraid said that it was Unregistered. Am i meant to just copy the files beginning in bz or i am i meant to copy all the files from the previous folder.

I copped all the files and received this error

Did you just copy and replace the files or did you wipe the flash drive to do that?  Sounds like somewhere you deleted the Config folder (or at the very least the .key file within it)

But, the only files necessary to copy were the bz* files  everything else is not strictly required but doesn't hurt (and is easier to describe copy all the files rather than just the bz*)

All i did (first made a backups) opened the previous folder, copied everything from this folder then stuck it in the main folder.

Strange...  Copy from the backups your .key file in the config folder

Sorry jumped the gun a bit,

I copied the backup back on to the USB, could copy some of the files in the config

and i also accidentally posted my reply without noticing and did not finish saying what i wanted to

I then proceeded to the previous folder and only copied the files starting in *bz, back on to the main folder. at this point i restated, and arrived back in version 6.2 with my pro licence.

So one of the files in that folder when down dating must be associated in some way with a licence key.

Any way my server is back to the version i wanted, so thanks for your help squid

Is 6.2.4 single or dual parity?    If dual, I would first revert to single parity => just do a New Config and assign everything as it is now except parity 2 ... and then do a new parity sync.

THEN you can downgrade to v6.1.9, as already outlined in earlier posts.
