Unraid Share empty on Windows.

Featured Replies

Somehow my main share shows up as empty on windows while unraid still shows the files online. The only major thing I’ve done today is update from 6.2.2 to 6.2.4.

Weirdly enough I can access all of the other shares and any new shares I create. It’s only the main share that contains a bulk of data.

I tried restarting the unraid server and my windows devices but nothing worked up to now and it also shows up like this on multiple windows devices.

Is there any easy way to fix this?

Thank you for your time.

Alright I was hasty in case anyone else has this problem:

For some reason I had a second share with the same name just lower case - deleting that share and rebooting everything again fixed it.

A very common problem, which is detected by the Fix Common Problems plugin.

Also, do you know how the other share got created? Often it is due to a misconfigured docker or something. Any folder at the top level of cache or array disks is automatically a share, and upper/lower case is important. If you have a docker or something specifying a folder with the wrong case it is just going to get recreated.

Yeah sorry should have checked that out before. I tried googling and didn't really find anything.

I am unsure how it did created but it hasn't reappeared yet so I think I'm in the clear for now.

Thanks for the help though and sorry for cluttering this up.
