December 19, 20169 yr I have an older Crucial SSD that has been showing signs of aging from much slower write times in my laptop. I'm going to replace this SSD for my laptop and use the Crucial drive as a cache drive in my NAS. What type of problems could I run into if the SSD dies as a cache drive in 6+ months?

If you're not running a cache-pool, then if the cache drive dies: You will lose the data on it (but you can easily back up the appdata to the array) When the cache drive dies, it will also have some adverse affects on accessing your shares, since it is part of the user system. After removing the dead drive, your shares will be back to normal
