Transfer to new server

Featured Replies

So I setup my unRaid server using just a standard desktop motherboard

Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. - H81M-HD3

CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz

Memory: 8gb

Well now I'm thinking about upgrading to a server grade motherboard with xeon processors and ECC memory.  I have already purchased the server software.  If I change to a new server can i just move that USB drive over to the new server or do I have to start over with a new USB drive and purchase another license?  Sorry if this has been asked before.

Thanks

You can just move the USB, data drives, parity drive, and cache drive(s) over and it should start right up provided you are using unRAID 5+.
