Hi all. I thought that it would be great if we had an Image Gallery from forum members who built their own unRAID servers? I know their is the Rig section, but this dedicated section of the forum would be a one-stop shop to post images of users Rigs, show the insides and outsides, to allow those who are proud of their beasts to show them off to the world. This would also give newbie's ideas on what to use, how to use it and how to put it all together.

I also think this would be a good idea.  The Pimp Your Rig thread is a good start, but it is very inconsistent - many different image hosts are used (some of which are firewall-friendly, some of which aren't), and the thread is peppered with comments and discussion.  I think a full picture/annotation-only image gallery would be a nice addition to these forums.

That is exactly what I mean, images, the member's ID, their spec's, a story behind it, etc... it would be fantastic. Pimp My Rig was good, but yeah didn't have all of the above.

Just one little minor detail - currently, no one can add images to the wiki!  Otherwise, I and others would be happy to start something there.

 

Certainly, links to external images can be used, but for an example of a page that's begging for pictures, but only has picture links, see the SATA Hard Disk Stackers page.  It badly needs at least front and back thumbnails immediately visible, if not full size pics.  For me, the clicking needed just does not cut it.

 

Edit:  I should add that I think the forums are a much better fit for this, I agree with the proposals for a 'New Builds' child forum.
