pcieport error crashing unRAID

Featured Replies

All, my apologies if i am not using this forum in the correct way.  Any guidance will be accepted as constructive criticism.  I have a brand new build (hardware and unRAID see below).  I'm having multiple issues that I am chasing my tail on.  I don't know if they are related or if I am chasing multiple problems.  HELP.  Here is what I can determine is going on.

2. whenever i try to stream a 4K movie it starts and then crashes unRAID

3. whenever I try to optimize a 4k movie (PLEX) crashes unRAID

As you can see by my configuration I spent a lot of $ to build this ultimate media server.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  If i need to hire or donate happy to do so.

Syslog is useful, but what we like to see is the full diagnostics, there's a lot more info for us.  Please see Need help? Read me first!, and attach the diagnostics zip.

Check for a motherboard BIOS update, and firmware updates for any cards.  That may help with some of the firmware bugs reported, and the MCE.

A 'Hardware Error' (Machine Check Event) was reported.  MCE's are notoriously difficult to diagnose, so install the NerdPack, and within it, install the mcelog package.  It will monitor for MCE's and log quite a bit more info when one occurs, should help determine what is causing it.  We'd like to see the diagnostics *after* an MCE.

I would also do a LONG memory test, like overnight.  There's a Memtest on the unRAID boot menu, but with your newer equipment, it would probably be better to run the updated Memtest that PassMark has created.  It's a bit more trouble, as you have to first create bootable media, but it will more thoroughly test your RAM.  The built in Memtest is better than nothing though.

Your PixArt USB Optical Mouse is causing trouble, probably not serious but is clogging up the syslog as it disconnects and reconnects, over and over and over...

Not sure if this helps.  I did find someone to help me setup NERD as you requested. I tried to setup and not sure if I captured anything.  We did capture the following.
