December 24, 20169 yr Has anyone seen this email from Plex? Does this mean that we should switch and use the 'official' version? Advantages/Disadvantages? http://my.jetscreenshot.com/12412/20161224-8cgw-98kb.jpg[/img]
December 24, 20169 yr Saw it - but not convinced. My Plex is still running at the Extras-Folder and is working fine for years. This Plex-Dockers are crap. Its much simpler than this Docker whatever. Download Plex for unRAID, put it on the USB-Stick to folder "extras", reboot, done This Plex-docker's seems like a coffemachine which only can be used with an app and a smartphone ... and WIFI... and crap - but... just my opinion
December 24, 20169 yr For those already using Dockers and those looking to try them out, its another option to choose from for which container to install. I don't see that there will be any difference in the performance or features between the dockers. The application will still be the same Plex as everyone else is running. I have already migrated once. It wasn't a big deal so if some compelling reason comes along I won't hesitate to switch.
December 24, 20169 yr At the end of the day all the dockers and plugin all use the same binary file. Have to disagree with zonediver though, I'd be interested for you to explain a little more as I use my Plex docker with all the same devices as I used to use the plugin with. Guess it's a bit like sex, if it's no good, you must be doing it wrong... Sent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk
December 24, 20169 yr Yep, I have to agree. I use your docker with a variety of different devices including Raspberry Pi's, Android Phones and Samsung TVs. It's been faultless.
