Used powerdown on command line, got "unclean" shutdown

Featured Replies

Yesterday I used the powerdown script from the console command line on my 6.2.4 box, and today when I booted up I was greeted with the "unclean shutdown" message and a parity check.  When I checked Fix Common Problems I saw an error and warnings that mention the powerdown plugin as shown in attachment.  Am I using the wrong file? Any ideas?  I'm also attaching diagnostics file.  Thanks!

Deprecated in favour of what?

Deprecated in favour of what?

You can find 43 pages of that discussion in the thread I linked.

And get rid of Community Repositories.  I can guarantee that it won't function under 6.1+ (nor have the app lists for it been maintained for over a year).  It's been replaced by Community Applications

Deprecated in favour of what?

In favor of nothing -- no replacement is needed.  The base server no longer requires a plug-in to shut down correctly.  As noted above, there's a VERY long discussion of this in the thread wgstarks referenced.

Thanks, and one more question... should I be concerned about the warning in Fix Common Problems that says:

Share appdata set to cache-only, but files / folders exist on the array. You should change the share's settings appropriately or use the dolphin / krusader docker applications to move the offending files accordingly.

I never saw before, why would that happen?

Not something to be overly worried about.  But you can change the use cache on the appdata share setting to be "prefer" (really should be that anyways) and then run / or wait for mover to run to fix the problem
