Editing mp3 tags from itunes or mp3tag (running on virtualbox)

Hi Folks, I'm trying to organize my mp3 collection which resides on unRaid. The issue is I'm not able to edit the mp3 tags from a windows mp3tag software or media-monkey running on virutalbox or from itunes running on OSX. I can delete the files from folder-explorer or finder. So I do have access to the files but from media software I'm unable to edit the tags. Any ides?

    the mp3tag software actually worked it just took a while for some reason. Now I need to figure out how to the itunes to automatically rescan library after a change to file has been detected, :).

    This works well when I need to update the MP3 version of my music library and push the changes to iTunes.  I only run it manually though when I need to update an iPod.
