Amazon Echo support on unRAID

Featured Replies

I am looking for a "how to" for enabling skills support for the Amazon Echo under unRAID 6.2. It appears I need to implement node.js but I'm not sure how to go about doing this on unRAID.

Is there a resource for helping with this?

Thanks

Easiest path would be finding a Docker with the proper node.js infrastructure. Ask about this in the Docker area.

Amazon needs https access to your server so you'll need to set up a domain with cert and likely want to reverse proxy.

I'm in the middle of developing a squeezebox skill using node-red and MySQL on my unraid. I've a blog post about it here;

Sorry. No harm intended. I'm not sure where to go when a reply suggested "Docker area".

If this thread looks like it is going to become a docker thread then I will move it there. Possibly a VM will be a solution instead of docker.

Not crossposting has been a rule of internet etiquette since before the World Wide Web. Among other things if you post the same question in several different threads then people will waste their time giving answers that someone else already gave in another thread. Better to keep the discussion in one place.

Have a long look at Meeps blog link. Its very informative for where to start and gives a general overview of what will be required. Its not for the faint of heart as there will be multiple interactions between dockers.
