December 28, 20169 yr I am looking for a "how to" for enabling skills support for the Amazon Echo under unRAID 6.2. It appears I need to implement node.js but I'm not sure how to go about doing this on unRAID. Is there a resource for helping with this? Thanks Dale Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
December 29, 20169 yr Easiest path would be finding a Docker with the proper node.js infrastructure. Ask about this in the Docker area.
December 29, 20169 yr Amazon needs https access to your server so you'll need to set up a domain with cert and likely want to reverse proxy. I'm in the middle of developing a squeezebox skill using node-red and MySQL on my unraid. I've a blog post about it here; http://mediaserver8.blogspot.ie/2016/10/securing-skills.html (Some other posts may also be relevant)

December 30, 20169 yr Author I have merged your posts. Don't crosspost! Sorry. No harm intended. I'm not sure where to go when a reply suggested "Docker area". Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
December 30, 20169 yr Community Expert I have merged your posts. Don't crosspost! Sorry. No harm intended. I'm not sure where to go when a reply suggested "Docker area". Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk If this thread looks like it is going to become a docker thread then I will move it there. Possibly a VM will be a solution instead of docker. Not crossposting has been a rule of internet etiquette since before the World Wide Web. Among other things if you post the same question in several different threads then people will waste their time giving answers that someone else already gave in another thread. Better to keep the discussion in one place.
December 30, 20169 yr Have a long look at Meeps blog link. Its very informative for where to start and gives a general overview of what will be required. Its not for the faint of heart as there will be multiple interactions between dockers.
