Request 15 day trial extension

Featured Replies

Hi,

Where can I request a extention trial period ?

There are no links/button or else in the registration page on the server and the docs says that there should be one.

Thank you,

J-F

After it shows "expired" in the upper left of the header, nothing actually happens until you Stop the array.  You will find that you cannot then Start the array again with an expired key, but in this state when go to the Registration page, now a button shows up where you can get an extension.

Yes the way it works right now is a bit confusing and we will be changing it...

Thanks for the quick reply.

I just need a little more time to test out some of the VM features and then, should buy soon :)

Thanks,

Hi,

I've shut off my testing server, requested an extension to the trial so I can see the performance with its full complement of drives and I understand completely that it was a holiday in the US and UK.  Please review my request for an extension.

AFAIK you can ask for two 15 day extensions and they are automatic.

How do you ask for an extension? I have one day left and im 99.9% sure im going to buy the unlimited key but just want to finish a few VN trails over the next week or so before finally pressing the buton

Once your trial license is expired go into the GUI and stop the array.

Next, go to Tools -> Registration and here you can request an extension.

Hi i have sent a couple of emails to support as i need to register and pay for an expired 30 day demo version, but when i click on register it goes to a blank screen "page not found"  is there any way i can get around this?

I do have a win10 VM set up, but the array needs to be running for that to work.

Hello there,

What email did you use? I have not seen any emails sent via the one you are using here.

Cheers,

Spencer

Does this still work? I dont want to risk stopping my array without being able to get it back online. I'm holding out for Cyber Weekend sale!

I'm in the same situation. My trial runs out on the 21st, but the discounts are only active from the 23rd. Is there a way to extend the trial for a couple of days?

After the initial 30 days trials can be extended twice for a total additional 30 days.

After I click "extent trial," I get a popup that says to click "Finish Trial Extension" in the web gui, but there is no such button.  Similarly, when I click "Sign in with Unraid.net Account," the popup says to click "Finish Registration," which is also not present on the page.  I've tried rebooting the server.

Why are these buttons not showing up?

There's currently an issue with trial extensions for some, you should contact support

I am just a few days into my 30 day trials, and I have already decided to purchase.  But I am thinking if I wait until the trial expires, then that essentially grants me additional time where I can receive free updates.   Now reading this, I'm wondering if I should also do the two 15 day trial extensions before purchasing?

Sure, we want people to be as satisfied as possible before committing. If it's worth your time to extend the trial, go right ahead. That's what the trial extensions are for, to be absolutely positive before you pull the trigger.

I've been migrating from another NAS to a new unraid NAS (in addition to my primary unraid server which I've had for ages :-) )

Unfortunately, time got away from me and my trial expired (4 days into overtime now) before I completed testing and setup. When I try to extend my key, I get an error:

Any suggestions on how to succeed in this endeavour? I'm using Brave and have disabled pop-up blocking for account.unraid.net

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I have a feeling that I will need a 15-day extension as well. As a complete first-timer to Unraid I was trying to set up a new array at a time when I was very busy and was out of town for a week. While I spent quite a few hours multiple times, I was never successful at getting an array set up. The parity drive would never mount correctly. If I never get a successful array, can I still get an extension. Unraid appears to the most likely OS for my successfully running my first homelab and I have planned on purchasing it. I simply don't want to purchase it if I cannot get it to work.

Thanks for trying us out.

You can certainly get an extension but it also sounds like you have other issues possibly with your hardware. Please contact support so we can assist and take a look!
