December 30, 20169 yr My server is at full capacity (no more sata ports) and I would like to swap my current 2tb parity drive with a 4tb drive. The wiki talks about swap disable method which involves 2 drives which assumes the server has capacity for the new drive to be added at the same time. All I want to do is swap the parity with a new pre cleared drive I have in my hand. What's the correct way to do this? Stop array, remove old parity, start array, let it tell me parity is missing then stop array and add new 4tb drive, start array and let it format and add?
