December 31, 20169 yr I love the Community applications method for installing apps but only one Plex option includes an install button (Phaze). All of the other versions say add and use docker. I added limetech version and tried to set it up but I cant seem to get it to download my movie library (/mnt/disk3). How do I add disk3 from my unraid server to the library? Should I uninstall and install the Phaze verion from Community applications? I was hoping to set up Plex DVR. There is a .txz download for Unraid on the Plex site but no instructions for how to install it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe M.

The difference between the "Add" vs "Install" buttons is that Add is for Docker Containers (what you should be using IMHO) vs Install for plugins Regardless of which docker app you use, you still need to map a path to your media (in your case, you would add a mapping of say /movies mapped to /mnt/user/disk3 You then tell Plex to add media into its libraries from /movies Utilizing plex via the dated .txz that's on their website is not recommended If you're looking to using the beta Plex DVR, I would recommend the linuxserver version. There are instructions within the support thread on selecting the appropriate version if you're a plex pass subscriber
December 31, 20169 yr Author Thanks for the help. When you say map the path to my media, do you mean from within the Plex web gui? I couldn't seem to access disk3 from within Plex but I'll try again. I'm going to delete the limetech version and start over with the linuxserver version and report back.
December 31, 20169 yr Edit the Plex docker and create paths that map to unRAID shares. If you have an unRAID user share called "movies" for example, create a container path called /movies and map it to a host path of /mnt/user/movies for user shares or /mnt/user/diskX for disk shares. Repeat for media like photos or TV shows that you may want to access via Plex. This is done by clicking on the "+Add another path port or variable" link (assuming a 6.2.x version of unRAID) at the bottom of the docker edit page. The container paths show up in Plex and you just assign one to the corresponding Plex library to access your media.

December 31, 20169 yr Author perfect. Thank you. Going to a new years party now so can't try it until tomorrow. Joe M.
