User Accounts - Unable to log-in unless I use Root

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a new unraid system up for the past day.  Everything appears to be in order except that I can seem to log-in with any of the created users accounts.  The only account that I am able to log-in with via the web interface, SSH or share is the ROOT account.  When i look at the logs it appears to accept the password and then instantly disconnects me.

Looking for some suggestions.  Do i need to give the non-root accounts permissions for SSH and other activities?

Thank you

Perfectly normal.  Only root has access to the webui  or ssh    users are only used to access your files

Also, root doesn't actually have any specific network access to user shares, as you can see when you configure access on a user share. If you have logged in as root when trying to access a share you are only getting guest access. See this post if you decide to configure any of your shares to anything other than public security.
