CHBMB
Diagnostics aren't much use in this situation. Post the medusa logs after restarting the container. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
I uninstalled and reinstalled the docker, works fine now, thanks. Quote Link to comment
bnevets27
Why does this look like this haven't been updated in a while? Mine shows it is up to date in unraid but is showing 13349 commits behind inside of medusa. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
unRAID will show an update for the docker, you just have to be patient, sometimes it takes more than a few days, not sure why. Quote Link to comment
bnevets27
Well the compare of changes starts on December 6th so its been over a month. Unless I'm missing something. Quote Link to comment
strike
Last update of this container was 6 days ago, the medusa devs issued a new release on the 26th 3 days ago and linuxserver.io updates all their containers once a week on Fridays IIRC. So there you have it. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
Thanks for the explanation. Quote Link to comment
bnevets27
Sorry I completely missed the release dates. Shouldn't look at this stuff or post when tired. Thanks guys Edited December 29, 2017 by bnevets27 Quote Link to comment
ashman70
I am trying to restart Medusa however the log is saying it is waiting for a POSTPROCESSOR thread to exit, it's been this way for over twenty minutes now, I think it's stuck. My cache drive was getting full and for some reason Medusa got stuck moving a file to my other server about eight hours ago, it never completed the task because the entire file did not get copied. Is there a way to force kill medusa without rebooting the server? My server is running a parity check and I'd rather not interrupt it with a reboot if I can avoid it. Quote Link to comment
CHBMB
Stop the docker service? Quote Link to comment
ashman70
How would I do that? Here is what I did. I went to settings/docker and changed enable docker from YES to NO and hit apply. The docker service in the top right hand corner still said running though. Quote Link to comment

Could try killall dockerd Quote Link to comment
ashman70
How do I then start the docker service? Quote Link to comment
ashman70
Already tried that, got some error messages and the service is still not running, saw some messages in the log saying the docker image could not mount as it was in use. I've set docker to disable, but it doesn't seem to help. May just have to suck it up and reboot. Sigh. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
When I try to start docker from the command line, it says: Error starting daemon: pid file found, ensure the docker is not running or delete /var/run/docker.pid How would I delete that pid file? Is it ok to do so? Might it fix the problem without a reboot? Quote Link to comment
ashman70
Any ideas or do I have to reboot? Quote Link to comment
CHBMB
Delete the pid file, it's in RAM anyway. If you can't restart dockerd after that, prob going to have to rebootSent from my LG-H815 using Tapatalk Quote Link to comment
ashman70
Question, where in Medusa do you choose episode quality. For example, let's say a show in 720p averages 1-2GB in size, but there are some releases out there that for some reason are larger, say 5GB. How can you tell Medusa that you only want the smaller ones not the larger ones? Is there such an option for this? I know in some of the movie download apps you can select quality and size, this is what I am looking for. Quote Link to comment
bnevets27
I'm guessing you have used sonarr or radarr.... That feature is in those programs, it's not possible in Medusa unfortunately. They do plan on a heavy redo of quality settings which is going to be really powerful but no idea when it will happen, I'm sure not soon. You could use prefered words, undesirable words, ignored or required words if there is a specific group or any thing in the title that you can try to single out and filter out the larger files. 1 Quote Link to comment
ashman70
Thanks, I use SabNZB and I can't find the settings that control size. I did think about using specific words for release groups, thanks. Quote Link to comment
bnevets27
I don't think sabnzbd has any size limit. The other thing you could do if you are into this kind of thing is a pre-queue script. It's likely possible to see the category, being TV and then fail/reject the download if above a specific size and then send that back to Medusa so it will try another version. It would unfortunately limit all your shows for a max file size. Unless you add show names to the script. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
Guess I'll just wait until they add this functionality to Medusa, for now manually downloading works just fine, it's just a pain sometimes. Quote Link to comment
bnevets27
Slightly better alternative to manual, again it will be a blanket for all shows but you could have them added to sabnzbd as paused so you can review whats queued up. Or switch to sonarr. Both programs have their strengthens and weakness. This is a good example of that. Another option is to run both if you like medusa for the most part but have a few shows that need to have a size limit. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
Question, I am not sure if this is a Medusa setting or SABnzb setting, I have checked both and cannot find it. I am using both of these programs to download tv episodes from Usenet, they work great together, no issues. Sometimes however, an episode will get downloaded that is clearly wrong, because of it's size, it's less than 100MB. Where do I set minimum sizes for episodes? Quote Link to comment
