Kernel Errors after Moving GPU to new PCIe slot

Featured Replies

Hello Forum :)

I began to receive these errors after switching my GPU (NVIDIA GeForce GT730) to a new  PCIe slot.  The card still works and Video is fine so far and the errors will time out eventually, but what do they mean and what can i do to get rid of them?

Jan 2 20:41:43 Tower kernel: pcieport 0000:00:1c.0: can't find device of ID00e0
Jan 2 20:41:43 Tower kernel: pcieport 0000:00:1c.0: AER: Corrected error received: id=00e0
Jan 2 20:41:43 Tower kernel: pcieport 0000:00:1c.0: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Corrected, type=Data Link Layer, id=00e0(Transmitter ID)
Jan 2 20:41:43 Tower kernel: pcieport 0000:00:1c.0: device [8086:a114] error status/mask=00001000/00002000
Jan 2 20:41:43 Tower kernel: pcieport 0000:00:1c.0: [12] Replay Timer Timeout

*EDIT*  Errors have filled my syslog.  Just got this message from unassigned devices:  /var/log is getting full (currently 100 % used)

In my experience only changing to another slot will fix those errors, or try a different GPU.
