Google Music Manager not working (could not identify computer)

Subject says it all. I am trying to run the google music manager within my Win10 VM. Unfortunately, this does not work and I am getting the error message "could not identify computer".

I googled the issue and found some information that this is caused by running in a VM / network bridge, but there are ways around through doing some changes around the MAC address.

Has anyone got this working with Unraid and can share instructions. I am NOT looking for a docker, but a way to get it to work within my Win10 VM.

Thanks in advance!

No.

I have the same issue.   I tried to change the redhat network adapter Mac address but that does not seem to change the mac address that windows uses.  Is there a way to change the vm mac address?  I tried to edit xml and got warnings about using multicast address.

Thanks

You need to use a valid Mac that a vendor use. Then add it in the template or the xml. If I remember correctly, you can change the mac if you enable advanced view.

I cannot create a new vm with a different MAC or change it on the vm that I have.  You get the error...

XML error: expected unicast mac address, found multicast

I am new at this and don't know the difference between unicast and multicast.  Will research a bit.

Thanks
