fishface
I've used the old method of pre-clearing few times before with no problem, but I'm having a little trouble withe new pre-clear plugin. The plugin installs fine, and I copied the gfjardim script to here: root@rutland:/boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk# ls -l /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 85224 Jan 2 15:22 /boot/config/plugins/preclear.disk/preclear_disk.sh* I then use the plugin and start 1 cycle, but it completes in under 2 minutes for 2TB drive, I know the new pre-clear is fast but this seems way off! What have I missed here? ############################################################################################################################ # # # unRAID Server Preclear of disk /dev/sdd # # Cycle 1 of 1, partition start on sector 64. # # # # # # Step 1 of 5 - Pre-read verification: [0:00:07 @ 0 MB/s] SUCCESS # # Step 2 of 5 - Zeroing the disk: [0:00:31 @ 0 MB/s] SUCCESS # # Step 3 of 5 - Writing unRAID's Preclear signature: SUCCESS # # Step 4 of 5 - Verifying unRAID's Preclear signature: SUCCESS # # Step 5 of 5 - Post-Read verification: [0:00:24 @ 0 MB/s] SUCCESS # # # # # # # # # # # # # # # ############################################################################################################################ # Cycle elapsed time: 0:01:34 | Total elapsed time: 0:01:35 # ############################################################################################################################ ############################################################################################################################ # # # S.M.A.R.T.
