January 8, 20179 yr My webgui has been freezing up and I want to know if there is a simple way to do a clean power down through terminal when I can no longer access unRAID through the web browser. I have an Asrock server motherboard (signature) and have access through IPMI and I want to use it to restart or shutdown my server cleanly so that it does not have to initiate a parity check on startup. What are the specific commands to spin down, unmount, stop services, and clean power down (or reboot)? Thanks.
January 8, 20179 yr Author oh wow, it's that simple?! Looking back at V5 there was like an essay you had to write. So what code would I type for a restart? restart -r I'm guessing that's incorrect.

The powerdown plugin is now incorporated into unRaid 6.2+ And that command I gave was for the restart. A shutdown is just powerdown
January 9, 20179 yr Was the native restart/reboot command hooked into the powerdown script automatically after 6.2? It allowed the hardware power button to do a clean shutdown.

January 10, 20179 yr I do not know why but powerdown is not always working for me (sometimes I have to do the powerdown three times in a row!). I don't know why this is the case. On the other hand, reboot works perfectly, always.
