March 7, 201016 yr I'm having very hard time to find a retailer or distributor based in Europe for the Supermicro C2SEA. Could someone be kind enough to share the name of the place in Europe where he/she got this motherboard from? Please send me a PM if you don't want to post commercial links on the forum. Thanks Alphazo
April 10, 201016 yr I got mine from a reseller in germany in Feb 2010. He also advertised on ebay. Was around the time of cbit so things took a very long time. The name was schneider-consulting (Germany - Neumünster). Don't know why the website is hosted in Italy - click. Looks like he's out of stock. !!! NO, they are not !!! Here you go: click! And I found this one - german - says it takes 1-2 months to deliver.
April 10, 201016 yr Author I got an offer from a company in UK but it was pretty expensive. I finally bought one from an eBay seller in the USA. He had a mixed ranking but I bought it and the motherboard arrived and is fully functional. Alphazo
April 12, 201016 yr Scary as it is to believe Supermicro have virtually no retail sales outlets in Europe. The ones I have come upon fall into 4 catagorys: 1. Say they stock but dont 2. Take order then tell you they cant supply kit for xx days. They essentially order bits in from the USA on demand 3. Hold only the odd parts. No complete range and fleeting stock at that 4. Sellrefurbished stock likely purchased at auction in the USA and shipped as a oner I really wouldn't recommend buying a Supermicro board in the EU. If it breaks your going to have to jump though some serious hoops to get it RMA and support will be at your expense calling the USA. Its great kit but essentially in the EU your buying exotica and will get support as such. There will always be exceptions to this but just consider how hard you are trying to find one of their main products then put this in context of support.
