Drives errors then "not installed" happened

Featured Replies

I had a drive that received around 952 errors, then a few hours later it went into "Not Installed" status (the sata (1430a) controller still sees it during boot-up and reports all my drives as non-configured and healthy).

Now I'm sure this is probably the drive from my old raid5 array that my 3ware controller reported having to reallocate sectors on & just needs to be RMA'ed, however, I'm new to reading syslogs and rather than just post the one I have, I'm wondering if someone can send me a link or tell me what to look for to actually see the various failures that could have happened.  Also, what program (in windows) do you recommend to read syslogs as notepad is pretty sloppy it seems.
