January 13, 20179 yr So my mover was running copying files to the array and all of a sudden I noticed the gui wasn't responding, looked at the monitor connected to my server and saw Port Error and it rebooted. Odd. I shut it down, then booted it back up, it came up fine, attached are whatever diags it has after the reboot. Hope its not a problem with my backplane. This is my 'new' Supermicro server. Of course now its doing a parity check and its reporting its found 2 sync errors already. Remember I had the 10 sync errors found every month it did a parity check before. tower-diagnostics-20170113-1532.zip
January 14, 20179 yr Diagnostics after the reboot won't give any clues but if you keep getting odd behaviour and unaccountable parity errors, try disabling IOMMU. You have two SAS2LP-MV8s with Marvell 9485 chips. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40683.0 My own experience here. Possibly another, though somewhat inconclusive here.
