First VM and unable to install windows 10

Featured Replies

So I just recently made my server with 2 Xeon Processors 32gb RAM and trying to install a windows 10 VM

Followed all videos and setup everything correct.

Issue I am having is when VNC Starts everything on the windows 10 installer is dine then when it says no drives and lets me search for a driver I select the E drive for the 1.118-2.iso drivers and go to windows 10 then amd64.  1 driver shows up.  When I hit next it scans for a bit then says no drives detected.  If I unhide drivers not compatible with system it does show 1 additional driver but still has the same result.

Now that I have UNRAID 6.2 I did not create a "vm storage" share since domain was automatically created.

I changed use cache disk to "Only" in "domains" Share.

VM Settings are as follows

VM Storage Path  /mnt/user/domains/

Iso-Storage Path  /mnt/user/ISOs/

Default windows VirtIO  virtio-win-0.1.118-2.iso

PCIe override    No

Am I missing something?

If I remember correctly, this was solved by using an iso freshly downloaded from Microsoft.

Are you using a modified one?

I just purchased windows 10 pro now thinking the download would be different and it took me to the same download tool.  Hopefully I just got a bad iso prior.  I'll update in a few hours.

Appears to have worked.  I don't know what the deal was.  Thanks I did not even consider downloading again.
