Featured Replies

i just add new 10bg card to the server the pc i drop files from the speed is 177mb max some time 400mb but drop down to 80 or 50 that back 177 than 80 and i do the host file in win and ssd cache working can some one help me plz

are both drives on each side of the transmission SSD's?

are you running multiple drives in you SSD cache?

are you looking at network speed or read/write speed to determine those numbers?

Couple things that can make a difference, change mtu to 9000 and make sure you regularly trim the SSDs.

That may also be the SSD maximum sustained write speed, model?

That SSD uses TLC nand, those speeds are normal, get one with MLC or 3D TLC.

The important part is up to, it's not sustained write speed.

ok i am with u to change it but why start at 400 and drop to 50mb and some time stable at 177mb .
  • Community Expert

Because it uses faster SLC as cache, but it's small and when it fills and starts using TLC it slows down, get a 850 Evo,  the 250gb model can sustain 300gb/s writes and the 500gb model 500gb/s.
