Losing second network card when VM is network heavy

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a ubuntu server 16.04.1 VM running urbackup to backup client PC's over the internet. This works just fine. However, If I backup my local PC to the server it works for a little while and then network connectivity dies. The only way to restore the connection is to restart the entire server which is not ideal!

It is  a seperate NIC that I installed that is bridged with the VM so that the VM gets an IP Directly from the router. It is not being used for anything else. When connectivity stopped I checked the network settings page and unraid reported that the port was down. If i restart the array the network card is still down. Have to reboot the PC entirely.

Any clues?
