Looking to downsize my server with 8 or 10 tb disks now. These boards have 10 sata ports so don't have to use an extra sata controller now.

Also looking to be able to run vm's which I believe these can do. I haven't bought an intel CPU in 20 years so I am out of touch with them.

thanks!

has 10 sata ports

It should work fine, but it only has 4 sata ports and 2 m.2 slots.

Yea i posted the wrong one. going to edit the post to show the correct one :) haven't had my coffee yet.

Thanks!

Either should work fine, not sure about the 2nd NIC on the extreme4, the Intel works for sure.

Awesome, thanks

I've had 6 AsRock boards over the past few years, and every one of them has either been DOA, gone faulty after a few days, or just plain unstable.  I wouldn't touch another AsRock with yours.

Gigabyte or Asus every time now.

HellDiverUK I love my Asrock board. You just have to treat them nicely and make them feel loved and they wont let you down  ;)
