unknown user when logging in via telnet

Featured Replies

When I attempt to login to my unraid via telnet, it doesn't prompt me for a username, it simply asks for a password. No matter what I enter, it always reports "Login incorrect" then returns me to "Tower login" where I can actually enter in "root" then my password.

On my syslog, this default login gets reported as:

Mar 9 14:20:47 Tower in.telnetd[14507]: connect from 192.168.0.117 (192.168.0.117)
Mar 9 14:20:51 Tower login[14508]: invalid password for `UNKNOWN' on `pts/2' from `Utopia-Planitia'

(Utopia-Planitia is my computer's name, and the IP address is correct for this machine)

I think telnet has a default user set somewhere, but I'm not sure where that is. I'd like to change it to root, to speed login slightly.
