What i did now is disable the adblock on dd-wrt, after that steam had some trouble connecting and I left the pc on while I was asleep. In the morning the downloads started and I am now observing that the share is growing in size, access log is showing the misses. and now tried to reinstall the game and that hit the cache. Thanks for the help No problem @mrcake! If you use Pi-hole you just have to adjust your DNS setting in it. If you haven't used it before you should give it a go! 1 Quote Link to comment

It could, but i'm not seeing any other issues with anything else. Nothing in the logs, smart tests, etc. I have dual Enterprise Intel p3600 1.6tb SSDs as my cache drive where this is running. I guess I can run a check on the FS on those 2 disks, but i'd think that an error of this nature would come up in various places and not with one very specific docker image. I'm fairly new to troubleshooting docker issues though, so it could very well be. I'll take a look. Quote Link to comment
NewDisplayName
Maybe first try to put the docker on other disk? or before try other directory. Quote Link to comment

New directory on cache pool does not work. New directory on UD works fine as XFS and/or BRTFS I checked the perms on the Cache disk and that doesn't make a difference. I manually ran moved and moved off several hundred gigs of data to free up so blocks in a different part of the SSD, same issue. FS check in maintenance mode came up clean BTRFS scrube came up clean. both short and long SMART Tests passed without issue. No other errors in any other dockers, VMs, or unraid that I can see So it is something with my cache pool. but not exactly sure what. Any other suggestions I can try before I start updating firmware? I ended up copying the file db.sqllite3 from the bit warden directory on my UD to the appdata folder and overwrote what it had tried to made. I then remapped the docker to point back and my cache drives and now it works fine. I'll do some more testing, but super odd issue. 1 Quote Link to comment

Browser doesn't even indicate that anything is occuring. No errors or anything. So thats kinda odd. Any thoughts on that? Quote Link to comment
snowmirage
I've set this up following the guide here https://squishedmooo.com/the-new-and-easier-all-in-one-steamcache/ And the steam side of it seems to be working great so far. Searching around I have not seen anyone talk much about the Windows Update side, has anyone else tried it? I've verified the caching is working for steam by installing a game seeing the "MISS" lines in access.log, then uninstalling it and reinstalling then I see the HITS and much faster download speed. I did a couple fresh installs of windows 10 then started windows update (one install in a VM in Unraid, another in VirutalBox on my desktop) when the updates first start to install I can see in access.log some requests and the expected "MISS" lines. 192.168.0.16 / - kshion619
Not entirely sure what's up, but i set up the caching server as shown in your new guide on the current latest unRAID with these settings Name: SteamCacheBundle Repository: mlebjerg/steamcachebundle:latest Network Type: Custom: br0 Fixed IP address (optional): 10.156.1.10 Privileged: On and off make no difference LANCACHE_IP: 10.156.1.1 data: /mnt/user/steamcache Logs: /mnt/user/steamcache/logs Default Port: 80 CACHE_MEM_SIZE: 3000m CACHE_DISK_SIZE: 1000g CACHE_MAX_AGE: 150d 443: 443 and it doesn't output to the access log, but it resolves DNS queries, but refuses to cache anything, making downloads fail for both Steam and Blizzard apps. And this is what's displayed in UnRAID's log option, pretty normal looking Running bootstrap.sh... nginx: the configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf syntax is ok nginx: configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test is successful Bind9 { Enabling cache for Blizzard Enabling cache for Frontier Enabling cache for Origin Enabling cache for Riot Enabling cache for Steam Enabling cache for Uplay Enabling cache for Windows Enabling custom DNS forwarder bootstrap finished. checking Bind9 config Running Bind9 Edited August 24, 2018 by kshion619 Quote Link to comment

Tweak3D
On 8/23/2018 at 8:21 AM, Tweak3D said: ok, I deleted what I had, disabled direct i/o and it is installing now without issue, but now I cannot register an account, I get to the page, fill it out and click submit and nothing happens. Browser doesn't even indicate that anything is occuring. No errors or anything. So thats kinda odd. Any thoughts on that? So just to follow up, Bitwarden is now loading and I can get to the login and create account screen, but hitting the submit button doesn't work when the form is filled out. I can cancel without issue and if I leave a required field blank it prompts me saying to fill in the corresponding empty fields. I've deleted and recreated the container, the docker image, and deleted my appdata/bitwarden directory. I don't see any errors in the docker container log at all anymore, but I don't know where else I can look for logging as I am unfamiliar with this docker. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
JWMutant
This may seem like a silly question but want to be sure in any case. If reference to "Max size for the cache" does the g stand for GB? Quote Link to comment

Kyubey
I just tried downloading from game gog and it doesn't use the cache however battle.net, steam and windows update do. Gog is in that list of cache domains. Quote Link to comment
NewDisplayName
If it would be on the list, it would cache, maybe its a different DNS name for downloads? Quote Link to comment
plantsandbinary
Ghost docker isn't working any more. Seems to be a problem with the MySQL docker needing to be updated. It's definitely possible as shown here: https://blog.alexellis.io/your-ghost-blog/ Relational databases are a total pain in the ass to setup and maintain and they're really easily corrupted. Finally, is mailgun also really necessary? They want my credit card information AND my mobile phone number. AFAIK the SMTP part of Ghost is just for getting email notifications of new comments and for also making posts via email etc. but I think most of us don't need or care about that. Especially when Ghost for desktop has notifications built in and there are also Ghost plugins for Desktop notifications via eg. Chrome etc. Could you please look into these issues and look at making the install process more streamlined? Quote Link to comment

If you want to use mariadb you should be able to just change the login credentials and host IP to that of your mariadb setup. Leave the database type as mysql. If you don't want to use an external database, remove all the database related variables and it will be setup with SQLite. I'm not sure what the migration process would be so you will need to play with that a bit. As for the mailgun setup, it is completely optional. You can simply not fill in the the variables for the mailgun setup and the container will work fine. I hope that helps. I'll change the documentation to reflect these changes when I can. I will also remove the database variables so that using an external database is not the default setup. Quote Link to comment
