January 26, 20179 yr I'm new to unRaid, and currently in the process of migrating from Windows Server 2016. I had a few ubuntu virtual machines running various stuff such as OpenVPN, Seafile, and Plex server. I used qemu-img to convert my Plex server VHDX to a raw file, and copied to the server. I created a new VM and assigned the disk to the recently converted IMG file I converted. At boot time, I get an error message: Boot Failed. EFI Misc Device. Any suggestion on how to fix this? As I have 2 other Hyper-V VHDX's I've converted to IMG (Raw), I'd like to see if there's a way to get this working... otherwise I'll have to create all my VM's from scratch...

Try creating a new vm with seabios instead of ovmf. You need to turn on the advanced view to see the option. Once you have created a vm its not possible to change between the two.

Once you have created a vm its not possible to change between the two. I changed the BIOS as you suggested, but no luck. The machine just shows a paused state on the web page, and says "Booting from hard disk..." on the VNC.
