Anyway to prioritise CPU for VM over docker without explicit assignment?

For dockers, I can set some dockers to have higher CPU priority using the advance parameters. So when my Handbrake is running, the other dockers are still responsive when needed.

 

Is there anyway to prioritise VM CPU over dockers?

 

Currently when Handbrake runs at full speed, my VM becomes very laggy. I want to avoid reserving cores only for VM since the VM isnt on all the time but I may need to run Handbrake overnight, for example.
