Cannot access server in Network

Featured Replies

Hi,

First off, I am a newb when it comes to Unraid.

I can no longer see my Unraid server in Windows network places (or in Ubuntu's Network on a separate computer).

I read every possible discussion on here of people having same issues and I am suspecting that the problem has something to do with Samba. I've read people discussing trying to replace the secrets.tbd file but I don't seem to have this file in the etc/samba/private directory (actually I dont even seem to have the 'private' folder at all) or in the boot/config directory. It appears I am missing some important smb files.

The cause of all this may be that I installed boiler and then installed Ruby 1.9.1 so that I can run some Ruby scripts I wrote. Was having a good old time until I discovered I could not access the server anymore.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Get rid of that old unsupported addon. Maybe you should just copy your config folder, do a clean install, and copy your config folder back, without any plugins.
