UNRAID 6.2.4: Updated Areca Drivers Kernel Panic

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I am running the latest UNRAID Kernel version 6.2.4 and have downloaded your Areca Driver 6.2.3-4 listed here:

http://www.areca.us/support/s_unRAID/driver/unRAID-6.2.3-4.zip Dated 2016/11/04

I have followed your instructions and am getting a Kernel Panic every time I try to boot.

I should note I am new to Linux and UNRAID the only way I can load the module is to do so in Safe Mode, as the module is in use in the normal operating mode.

I have tried twice now following the instructions and both times I have had to restore the USB key back to factory defaults. Restore /Config directory after recreating bootable USB.

Please advise as the ARCMSR driver bundled with the UNRAID 6.2.4 kernel is dated 2014/09/19.

Thanks,

Enver
