March 11, 201016 yr Hi! I just update to 4.5.3 a few days ago. I installed a new hdd and it started clearing its data. The problem is that after a while the hdd changed to stand by mode and the clearing procedure stack to 60%. I had to manually set the spin down delay to never in order to continue. Is that normal?

Sounds like a bug. Report it to lime-technology.
April 30, 201016 yr It appears as though the web interface and the syslog just say the drive is spun down, but really its not. In my case it looks like progress continues, as both the number of writes to the drive being cleared (shown in unMenu), and the progress percentage are still going up.
