error: share system set to cache-only, but files / folders exist on the array

Featured Replies

Hi, I get the following warning in "fix common problems":

Share system set to cache-only, but files / folders exist on the array.
You should change the share's settings appropriately
or use the dolphin / krusader docker applications to move the offending files accordingly. Note that there are some valid use cases for a set up like this. In particular: THIS

My system share is set to use the cache drive "only". I don´t know how to look for this files/folders mentioned in the error message. Any idea how I can proceed?

Rgds

If you set your system share to "Use cache: Prefer" and then run the Mover it will move the files that are on the array to the cache where they belong.

Hi, sorry how can I run the mover?

Main page -> Array operation -> Move Now

Hi John, that seemed to work . Thx.

Do I need to set the system share back to "Use cache: Only"?

Rgds

You can change it back if you want to but in many ways Cache: Prefer has superseded Cache: Only. It really doesn't matter - either way the files will now stay on the cache.
