Docker or VM

Featured Replies

Was not sure if this is the correct forum, if not mod please move.

I've been running a VM for my OpenVPN server.  It was migrated from my older vmware server once i updated my unraid.

What would be the advantage to moving this to a docker app?  Is the setup and configuration difficult?

Thanks for any input.

A docker app has lower overhead than a VM.  Check out openVPN-AS from linuxserver (which I use) or alternatively, the openVPN plugin.

I assumed it was something like that .  How do you connect to the docker to config the openvpn?  I've looked at the openVPN-AS from linuxserver but haven't found a good getting started guide.

thx
