February 5, 20179 yr Hello! I have searched the forum for a post about changing slot for two disks. All I found was a post from 2010 and I didnt want to try that method. I have removed a disk for a long time ago (disk 3) so this is already done. Parity is valid. All I want to do is to move the disk 4 to the slot 3 and the disk 5 to slot 4. How can I do this without recalculating parity and loose any data?

February 5, 20179 yr As Johnnie noted (via the link), all you need to do is a New Config and check the "parity is already valid box". BEFORE doing that, however, you should run a parity check to confirm all is well before you make the change. Then just do a New Config; assign the disks as you want; and check the "parity is already valid" box. Then you're Done
