Bug Description:

OpenVPN client will not work correctly (no connection with fatal error) without the ipv6 kernel support if the OpenVPN server pushes an ipv6 option.

How to reproduce:

 

Connect the OpenVPN client on unraid to a server that is pushing ipv6 configuration options, as soon as openvpn tries to add an ipv6 address to the tun adapter it will crash.

Expected results:

 

A stable VPN connection.

 

Actual results:

 

Fatal Error.

In the interim you can fix the issue by telling your OpenVPN client to ignore the ipv6 options pushed by the server with:

pull-filter ignore "route-ipv6 "
pull-filter ignore "ifconfig-ipv6 "
