November 10, 20178 yr Chelsio N320E-SR works in current version of Unraid, After all the reading ive done i figured this was going to be hard to implement.....WRONG! Plunk in the cards, Install U-wire on your windows machines (Drivers) Unraid finds the card without issue. Set the IP-addresses for your windows machines. Set the ip-addresses for the interfaces on Unraid. Add unraids IP to your HOSTS files on your windows machines. Presto, done! Welcome to much faster than 1gigabit speeds. I bought three cards running two on windows 10 and the third in my Unraid box (HP gen8 microserver) all connected by Cisco DAC cables. DONT ACTIVATE IWARP IN WINDOWS 10, unless you really like BSOD's. My unraid uses 2 striped Samsung evo 500gb as cache disks. My workstation PC uses a 256 nvme Samsung (not pro). Read speeds from unraid is around 500-600mb/s Write speeds to unraid around 400-500mb/s I didnt notice much of a difference changing the MTU to 9000 (jumbo frames). And even tho im not capping out my hard drives transferwise its INSANLY faster than regular 1gb. I would love to be able to use RDMA or in this case IWARP (chelsios take on rdma) but for now im very happy, around 700 swedish crowns to get five times faster transfer speeds HORRAY!
