Can SnapRAID be run under unRAID?

Featured Replies

Since unRAID is basically Linux, I wonder if SnapRAID can run natively?

It would be useful for ssd array with ssd parity, for example. Then maybe set up a periodic cron job to sync.

Crazy?

unRAID already allows btrfs cache pools with various raid configurations.

Crazy?

Totally.  :o

I thought BTRFS cache pool only in RAID1? I remember last time I checked, it requires some complicated config file editing to change it to 0 and would reset to 1 under some conditions.

I would love to have a RAID 5 cache pool :D

Since a volkswagen beatle is a car and a truck is also.. Would it be possible to hang a truck trailer behind a volkswagen beattle ?

Crazy ?  Yes..

Real question is: why would you want to do this  ?

Your thoughts are out-of-date. See the V6 FAQ sticky at the top of this subforum for a lot more information about cache pools.
