February 14, 20179 yr Hello, All of the sudden I cannot modify anything in my cache drive due to permissions. I already ran the Docker Safe New Perms and it did'nt fix it. Enclosed is a picture of the dockers installed, since I suspect one of them is causing the issue. Thank you in advance for your help.

Usually you can look for an option to set the permissions on files within the clients. Set it to 777. Or it just be issues with the file system on the cache drive. Hard to tell without diagnostics for that one.
February 14, 20179 yr Author I can't delete/edit any file, either downloaded or old existing files in the cache drive. I cant even edit settings.json in the appdata folder. Attached is the diagnostics. tower-diagnostics-20170214-1659.zip
February 15, 20179 yr Community Expert CRC errors on disk4, needs a new SATA cable. ATA errors on the SSD, probably also cable related, replace it and run reiserfsck to check for file system corruption.
February 15, 20179 yr Maybe silly question but did you change the share permission settings / password etc? Do you use the Ransomware protection plugin too? Can you ssh into the server and edit the file using mc?
February 15, 20179 yr Author Maybe silly question but did you change the share permission settings / password etc? Do you use the Ransomware protection plugin too? Can you ssh into the server and edit the file using mc? I did not change permissions or settings. As a matter of fact, I think the permission issue started after I installed the Ransomware protection plugin. If that is the case, what should I do? Yes, I can edit the files using mc.
February 15, 20179 yr I think the RP plugin automatically disable share write if it detects that a bait file is changed. I'm guessing you accidentally triggered the trap. I didn't use the plugin so I guess you might need to post in the plugin support thread to find out what to do in that scenario. And do what johnnie said too.
February 15, 20179 yr The mover is moving a bunch of bait files from the cache to the array. Not a user of the ransomware plugin, so I don't know if that would trigger anything. There is also an update available.
February 16, 20179 yr Mover should't affect the monitoring of the bait files. Also I had looked at the diagnostics, and RP was not tripped
February 16, 20179 yr Community Expert You say you can edit files on cache with mc. Are you going directly to the cache drive or to a user share? When you say you can't edit files, do you mean over the network? Same question, are you going directly to the cache drive or to a user share? Filesystem corruption has been known to cause issues with user shares, so if you are having an issue with a user share, it might be worth checking filesystem on each drive.
