Featured Replies

Hi,

Goal:

Fully working Win10 VM to play games etc.

Problem:

Can't see network card at all after running Win10 VM.

Setup:

i7 5820k

MSI X99S GAMING 7 X99 LGA 2011-3

Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4-2666 CL15 16 GB

MSI GeForce GTX 970

2x SSD Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (used for cache +VM)

Together 12 TB Hdds

Screenshots from various settings:

Why I don't see eth0 anywhere in VM manager / VM instance? Can you please help me?

Have you installed the network drivers off the virtio CD?  They are needed to access the network.

If in the VM settings you have virbr0 selected as the network option then although the VM will be able to connect out the VM will not be visible on the local LAN as this is a NAT style adapter    If you want the VM to be visible on the local LAN then you need to use the br0 network option.

Thank you, I actually did not install the network drivers in the first place.
